Sorry for silence!
I’ve gone quiet because… I guess I haven’t had much time to make art recently. This doesn’t mean that I don’t have a million ideas cooking. Just waiting for a good time to do things! 6 months agoUrban jungle
This is a fundraising auction that will start in november to raise money to help plant trees and make green spaces in the city. The show will go up in the town hall- maybe we’ll get to meet the mayor too!
You can check it out at http://urbanjungle.weebly.com/auction.html

Japanese Vinyl for printmaking
My students at Sitka (including Rosie the wildwoman)
wanted to know if they could buy Japanese vinyl in the US. I’ve found this link from a super friendly company that sent me some inks directly to Oregon in less than a week: its all in Japanese but the plates are only 52 yen and up (thats about 50 cents…)

The show Beautiful Beast opened in Vancouver on Friday 11th July. There were lots of Asian artists, Chinese and Japanese speakers and art critics, some delicious cakes and sushi. cheese and wine, and general entertaining conversation. It was lots of fun.
From left to right- Tamla, Akemi, Juliane, and me- and we were ALL wearing high heels!
